Nylon and polyester are some of the best fabric choices for luggage, especially with a ballistic weave pattern that is more resistant to tearing.
Hardsided luggage sets are typically made from polycarbonate, so it is also very lightweight. This type of luggage is the best for protecting the contents of the suitcase.
Leather luggage sets are most popular for business travelers, as they have a timeless and classic look. These sets tend to be more expensive but are very durable.
Special Features
The additional features you want with your luggage really depend on what type of traveler you are. Many suitcases come with special design features to make them more user-friendly. Expandable suitcases are very popular, as they give you some extra room without having to take a larger size suitcase. Rolling suitcases, with two wheels, and spinner suitcases, with four wheels, are also very popular, because they are easier to transport through a busy airport or train station.
Telescopic handles are also very common on most suitcases. These handles can be retracted into the suitcase when not in use, but easily pull out when needed.
If you are a business traveler, you may also want your luggage set to contain a garment bag and laptop compartment.
Luggage Fashion
Black rolling suitcases have long been the most common type of luggage, but being part of the crowd definitely has its drawbacks. Think about the baggage claim carousel after a long flight. You can avoid this problem by selecting a luggage set that has polka dots, stripes, other prints or any color other than black. Also make sure your luggage is easily identifiable by prominently displayed ID tags.
